The name Hjartarúmið came up when we thought about what to call our cozy garden house. In the Faroes we have a saying – where there is room in the heart there is room in the house – “hjartarúm”.

Hjartarúmið wants to show you the best places and the hospitality of home dining as well as giving the best service possible. We also would like to design the tour together with you upon your specific wishes.

Hjartarúmið is a small garden house where we can have up to 6 people seated. We did build it in 2017 and started home dining in 2019.

Schandorff Vang is a retired police officer. In 2024 he became a licensed tourist guide and wants to start up a small business as a tour operator for small groups up to 6 people.

The service will include guiding light/medium hikes, driver guide, VIP-/business driving (over 25 years of experience), and home dining together with his wife Sigrid Vang, who works as a teacher.
